Hi!
I’m Natasha, a Health Coach and advocate for sustainable, low-tox living. I have three beautiful children, who keep me on my toes by creating chaos out of my perceived order and bringing so much joy. Whilst also turning my hair grey! I love delicious, yet nourishing food, lifting heavy weights, essential oils, yoga, coffee (necessity!), chocolate (who doesn’t!) and reading a good book (when I’m not being interrupted!).
Growing up on a farm, I played barefoot in the mud, ate paddock to plate, and was connected to the environment around me. I climbed trees, filled my lungs with fresh air daily and learnt compassion for all life around us. Beginning studies in Natural Therapies in my late teens, I was lucky to attend the beautiful Wellpark College of Natural Therapies in Auckland, New Zealand. The seeds for a natural, plant based life were firmly rooted, but on adding study to become a Personal Trainer I, year by year, lost some of that connection with the earth and natural life. Calories took more precedence over nutrition and chemicals filled my beauty bag and supplement shelf.
In 2010, during my first pregnancy, I developed dermatitis, which was subsequently treated with a year long course of anti-biotics a few weeks after giving birth. I was left with the struggle of candida, constantly congested skin and rode an energy roller coaster. I struggled to get out of bed before 8am and started my days with coffee. It wasn’t until 2012, after surgery to repair the ruptured ACL in my knee, that focusing on eliminating artificial foods and more functional exercise for health began to come back to me. I came full circle, returning to my roots and awakening the Earth Goddess within. I found fermented foods and flushed out the candida. I learned more about whole food, plant based eating. I learned to practice gratitude and include more yoga and I started throwing out the chemical laden products in my bathroom cabinet. I went a bit OTT too, driving my husband mad with my judgement and nagging, because he wasn’t changing with me. However, four years later, I’ve (for the most part!) found my balance in how I integrate my lifestyle choices with others and refrain from judgement, instead leading by example. What a lesson that was!
I am passionate about teaching women how to enhance their daily lives. To bring more balance and joy, through whole food nutrition, exercise, natural plant therapies and mindfulness. When we as women and mothers can learn how to nourish every aspect of our lives, we can pass that on to our children and those around us, creating change in the world. I look forward to you joining this journey with me, there’s always something new to learn and explore and it’s always more fun, doing it with someone else.
